Where Classic Meets Dangerous

Pinterest has become an absolute haven for me. When I’m bored, need inspiration, have nothing to do, or simply want to keep updated on the latest trends, I go to Pinterest for all areas of life and style. I want to share some of my absolutely favourite pins because I’ve realized a pattern: my style and what I love is defined where the classic meets the dangerous.

To explain further, it’s easy to be plain. It’s also really easy to be completely obscene. It’s about finding that perfect balance between the classic and the totally out there style that people have trouble with at times. Sometimes I look at designer clothing and think that God himself couldn’t have created anything better (Ahem…McQueen), and other times I look at something and ask myself whether the designer was on the pipe while creating his vision (or hallucination). Here are some editorials, fashions, and trends that I find are perfectly on point.

I like taking classic intricate details, like the beading above that reminds me of antique lace, and mixing it with current trends and styles to make it even more unique. And well, some of these pictures are just plain fierce. And that’s how I like it. The ability to turn something classy into something classy with an edge is a talent that all too many can’t master; that’s why those who can sit on the pedestals they do.

About ChelseaSwag

I have recently completed my Criminology degree with a concentration in law and a minor in psychology at Carleton University in Ottawa. The past three years that I have spent away from my home in Montreal have only reconfirmed my ever-longing desire to become involved in the fashion industry in some way. Although there are a lot of fashion blogs out there, I have to first say that my own style will really resonate with the girls who are always looking to stand out- more so on a student budget. Different relatives and family members involved in the fashion industry have surrounded and shaped my love for fashion throughout my lifetime, however, none are quite so edgy as myself. I hope to enlighten the ladies that are looking to add a little extra oomph to their appearance, while also reflecting their own personal taste. But remember, swag is not only what you wear- it's a lifestyle. CP

Love those snakeskin jeans, especially when paired with such a conservative top and shoes.
