Hitting the nail on its head

I have to admit, I was really giving up hope. How is it possible that my go-to store was having such a fashion drought? I literally stopped even browsing Forever 21 online because I found it had gotten so juvenile. I switched to ASOS, which you might have found, was mainly where a lot of the garments in my posts have come from. But, having recently creeped Forever 21’s website during my contracts class today, I became inspired by all the potential deals that I could bring to the attention of the public. I seriously have to commend Forever 21 this season; they really hit the nail on its head.

I love going online shopping/browsing with a goal, like, “make a full outfit in under $100” and then actually having money to spare at the end. It’s such a gratifying experience when you’re bored. Often we get so carried away in wanting all the brand names and expensive stuff, but really, who can’t use some staple wardrobe items from Forever 21? I’d rather get more for my money a lot of the time. Think about it. Spend $200 on a blazer at Aritzia, which you’ll wear a few times but be paranoid about ruining and then people will start to notice that you ALWAYS wear that blazer, or go into Forever 21, buy 6 blazers if you want to spend that kind of money on 1, and have outfits galore! Obviously we’re all swayed by name brands, the quality of a good blazer or shirt, or an awesome leather jacket…but sometimes it just doesn’t fit in the budget. Prepare to be englightened…

All of these pieces are taken from the new arrivals section of Forever 21 Canada online. I really love all of them and would wear them all! If anyone is looking to spend their money on trendy items this season, your first stop should be here, where you can get the most bang for your buck, and might I say, not terrible quality either.

1. Apricot Blazer
2. Faux Fur Vest
3. Camel Blazer
4. Magenta Button-up
5. High Waisted leggings
6. Colour Block Scarf
7. Cherry Trousers
8. Tulle Skirt
9. Sequin Lips Tank
10. Red Blouse
11. Cocoa Cardigan
12. Navy/Black Sequin Tee
13. Bronze Scoopback Longsleeve
14. Plain Black Skirt
15. Beige Trousers

My favourites are definitely the two blazers up top, including the faux fur vest, and the sheer blouses. I do love all of these pieces, however, and I hope that my readers like them too…they drift away from the earthy Fall tones too, which is a nice sprucing up for the season!

About ChelseaSwag

I have recently completed my Criminology degree with a concentration in law and a minor in psychology at Carleton University in Ottawa. The past three years that I have spent away from my home in Montreal have only reconfirmed my ever-longing desire to become involved in the fashion industry in some way. Although there are a lot of fashion blogs out there, I have to first say that my own style will really resonate with the girls who are always looking to stand out- more so on a student budget. Different relatives and family members involved in the fashion industry have surrounded and shaped my love for fashion throughout my lifetime, however, none are quite so edgy as myself. I hope to enlighten the ladies that are looking to add a little extra oomph to their appearance, while also reflecting their own personal taste. But remember, swag is not only what you wear- it's a lifestyle. CP
